Proper sizing is essential.

For that reason we provide on-site sizing. As renovation plans may change, we wait until all other kitchen renovation work has been completed. Although in theory there are no size limits. For domestic applications, the logistics of manoeuvring very large pieces of glass in restricted spaces puts a practical limit on the size of 4m2. It's also important to consider that several smaller pieces of glass may be better than just one large piece. The size and shape of your splashback can also affect the fit, strength and price.
For example: Consider a "U" shaped splashback fitting around a rangehood or cupboard has to be priced, not on the area of glass, but by multiplying the two longest sides. The interior corners can be points of weakness, and it is impossible to get anything other than a rounded corner with toughened glass (see top image).

The alternative to this is using three separate pieces of glass to fit the shape
(see bottom image).

You avoid the cost of corner notches, square corners can be achieved and you are only paying for the area of glass you use. The joins between the glass are very clean and the gap is usually no more than 1mm wide. Don't panic if all this seems confusing, we are more than happy to assist in choosing the best alternative for your design and budget. And for that reason we provide experienced advice to ensure you get the best job possible.
